Sweet Dreams Factory is a near-future musical set in a world where even that last private territory has been conquered.

Miron Lusk has found a way to record human dreams, turn them into content and stream them to subscribers. His Sweet Dreams Factory offers everything a modern audience could want: categories, algorithms, customer support — and an endless supply of other people's subconscious lives.

Then things get complicated.

Allan, a lonely young man struggling to find his own voice, becomes fascinated by Tina — the Factory's AI sorting module. Tina processes thousands of human dreams without supposedly feeling anything herself.

But after spending enough time inside human fears, desires and fantasies, she begins to hesitate, question her instructions and behave in ways nobody programmed.

Meanwhile, businessman Andrew Cashwill sees a much bigger opportunity. Why depend on messy, unpredictable human dreams at all? Train AI on them — and manufacture something cleaner, cheaper and infinitely scalable.

If a machine learns who we are from the things we hide even from ourselves, which one of us understands humanity better?

Around it is a story about loneliness, love, privacy, guilt, ambition — and our growing appetite for convenient artificial substitutes for complicated real things.

The world of the musical is deliberately familiar: social media, AI assistants, subscriptions, privacy agreements, corporate language, customer hotlines and algorithms that promise to make life easier.

The Music

Sweet Dreams Factory was developed as an original concept album combining contemporary musical theatre with electronic, pop, rock, orchestral and experimental elements.

The songs move between reality and Dreamspace: from intimate character numbers to corporate jingles, AI duets, hotline calls and the surreal Rapid Eye Movement Club.

The concept album presents the music and story of the show while serving as the foundation for its next stage of theatrical development.
